Knee-Deep In 12-Year Olds…
Okay, there’s too much doom-and-gloom ’round these here parts lately. It’s time to FUNK. IT. UP!
I’m not a regular concert-goer; since attending my first real concert in 1993 (not counting the time my dad took a friend and I to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when they were a “rock band” around 1990 or so), I’ve only been to a handful of shows – around 11, according to my count.
Impressions: Three Xbox360 Game Demos
I took a break this evening for long enough to briefly try three new game demos for my Xbox360 which I downloaded from Xbox Live. Figured I might as well post my impressions here for the “daily update.”
Burnout: Revenge
The latest game in the Burnout franchise is the first to arrive on the Xbox360, but it’s not much different from the PS2 and Xbox versions that have been out for a while now.
A Few Hours in Oblivion
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the latest game to take up residence in my Xbox360’s disc drive. I’ve since spent a few hours with Bethesda’s latest medieval roleplaying title, and while I always considered myself a gamer who just didn’t dig medieval stuff, I find myself really enjoying it this time around.

One of the most anticipated new titles for the Xbox360 — Dead or Alive 4 — finally arrived a few weeks ago, and I recently picked up a copy. Strangely, I didn’t get around to playing it for a few days, but have finally delved into it in detail this weekend.

Blitzball: An Exercise in Frustration
Last night, for the first time, I got pissed off at Final Fantasy X.
It all began with the championship Blitzball game at Luca Stadium. All throughout the beginning of the game, the player is taunted with the concept of Blitzball, a sort of combination of football and basketball that’s played underwater, and was the former professional sport of choice for our main character, Tidus.
Knight Rider: The Stu Phillips Scores
Made it before the long weekend! I received a nice gem in the mail today: an autographed copy of the new Knight Rider soundtrack album: The Stu Phillips Scores. Stu Phillips is the man who created the legendary Knight Rider theme, and who scored the first thirteen or so episodes before Don Peake took the reigns.
Boldly Going Away
Well, here it is. A red-letter date in Star Trek history. Tonight, the final two episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise—and indeed, of Star Trek itself—will air on the red-headed stepchild UPN network. After which, new episodes of Trek will leave the airwaves for the first time in eighteen years.
