After not playing it at all for nearly two months, I eked out as much time on the Xbox360 as I could afford over these last few busy weeks. The gaming sessions did wonders for keeping my morale up, and I also got to experience a whole ton of new games via the downloadable demos offered by Xbox Live Marketplace.

I took a break this evening for long enough to briefly try three new game demos for my Xbox360 which I downloaded from Xbox Live. Figured I might as well post my impressions here for the “daily update.” Burnout: Revenge The latest game in the Burnout franchise is the first to arrive on the Xbox360, but it’s not much different from the PS2 and Xbox versions that have been out for a while now.

A Few Hours in Oblivion

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the latest game to take up residence in my Xbox360’s disc drive. I’ve since spent a few hours with Bethesda’s latest medieval roleplaying title, and while I always considered myself a gamer who just didn’t dig medieval stuff, I find myself really enjoying it this time around.

Blitzball: An Exercise in Frustration

Last night, for the first time, I got pissed off at Final Fantasy X. It all began with the championship Blitzball game at Luca Stadium. All throughout the beginning of the game, the player is taunted with the concept of Blitzball, a sort of combination of football and basketball that’s played underwater, and was the former professional sport of choice for our main character, Tidus.
