I don’t know what kind of admen (madmen?) it takes to create a TV commercial as incongruous and random as this, but I am completely in love with the cinematic treatment applied to our dear old pal KITT in the opening moments.

I’m a huge fan of the soundtrack from the 1982 TV series Knight Rider. The show’s iconic theme tune (and the incidental music for the first 13 episodes) was penned by Stu Phillips, but it was Don Peake who scored the vast majority of the episodes from the series’ four-year run.

Made it before the long weekend! I received a nice gem in the mail today: an autographed copy of the new Knight Rider soundtrack album: The Stu Phillips Scores. Stu Phillips is the man who created the legendary Knight Rider theme, and who scored the first thirteen or so episodes before Don Peake took the reigns.

Many thanks to Reaper who got me the bloody awesome 1:18 scale diecast KITT replica for my birthday! It just arrived today, so naturally I unpacked it and set it up on my shelf next to my computer, where all of my favorite die-casts go (including the 1973 “Eleanor” Mustang).

The new Knight Rider soundtrack CD by Don Peake It’s finally happened. After years of stonewalling, Universal has given Don Peake the go-ahead to release a new album of Knight Rider music. Shown here, this special limited-edition album (of which only 1,000 copies were made) is a special gift to German fans of Knight Rider, who are arguably even more rabid (and more organized) that fans here in the United States.
