You knew this was coming, right?
Since I posted my thoughts of the Puffy concert in Detroit last week, I figured I’d post my thoughts on the album that spawned said tour – Splurge, due out today in the U.S.
Okay, there’s too much doom-and-gloom ’round these here parts lately. It’s time to FUNK. IT. UP!
I’m not a regular concert-goer; since attending my first real concert in 1993 (not counting the time my dad took a friend and I to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when they were a “rock band” around 1990 or so), I’ve only been to a handful of shows – around 11, according to my count.
For my second installment of Not-Quite-Retro-Gaming-Month™, I was going to reinstall and play Gothic, a medieval RPG that I thought was a major bore back in the day (but which a friend thought was quite fun), but I really wasn’t in the mood to install and slog through an RPG just yet.
Yeah, I know – March was Retro Gaming Month. Well, excuse me for not having posting privileges then.
And now it’s time to feeeeel the flaaaames!
Ahem. What I mean is, I think I’m one of the only people on Earth (along with Sparse) who didn’t like Freedom Force when it came out.
