During our walk to the post office today, we spotted a guy who can only be…The Snitch.™ Not to be confused with The Stig, The Snitch is believed responsible for the variety of violation letters that the HOA sends out to the community residents.

Today’s prospective home buyers showed up 45 minutes early (while we were still here), flustered us thoroughly and then decided they hated the place, turned around and walked out within literally thirty seconds. Nice.

Trash Bandit

The garbage truck stopped by a few minutes ago, so I went outside to roll the standard-issue trash can back into the garage. In the process of checking to ensure that the can was empty, I discovered some unexpected new trash in it that hadn’t been there just two hours prior when I checked to see if the trash truck had arrived yet.

Restaurant Cheapskates

My wife Apple works at a restaurant, so of course there are always plenty of comedy bits to hear about when she gets home. Tales of stingy customers, drunken fools, employee drama, etc. are always entertaining, sometimes maddening. I heard a story last night of a party who was determined to get their coupon’s worth no matter how they had to go about it.

Apple and I went out for dinner on Saturday night. I have to say, we had a great time, despite the restaurant we selected not quite being up to our expectations. As usual, though, the simple observations of life once again proved interesting enough to write about in and of themselves.
